Silicon Power Technology’s co-founders are semiconductor veterans; China’s leading power semiconductor academics; and Silicon Valley’s top semiconductor incubator. The shareholders include GaoZhan, an asset management company with deep experience in semiconductor investment, and Silicon Catalyst, the most advanced semiconductor incubator from Silicon Valley. The Power Integration Technology Lab of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) is also a key partner. With more than 20 PhD professors, this lab is regarded as the largest academic research group in the global power semiconductor industry.

Power Integrated Technology Lab (PITEL) is affiliated to school of Electronic Science and Engineering (Demonstration Microelectronics), University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. It is an important part of the State Key Laboratory of Electronic Thin Films and Integrated Devices and the Integrated Circuit Research Center of uSTC. The laboratory is dedicated to the research of power semiconductor science and technology, covering discrete devices, integrated power semiconductor devices and power integrated circuits. International peers are honored as "the world's largest academic research team in the field of power semiconductor technology" and "the most comprehensive research team in the field of power semiconductor".
